Annual All Photography Show at The Depot Gallery Montauk, NY
Photographers in the show are Jerry Cooke, Lori Corless, Gerry Giliberti, Anne Palermo, Gaelin Rosenwaks, Hiram Jacob Segarra, and Rich Silver.
The show runs from September 4 – September 15th. The artist reception is Saturday, September 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Depot Gallery is located at the Montauk Railroad Station, junction of Edgemere and Flamingo Roads.
Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
A sampling of Jerry’s vintage photographs and digital prints are on view in this annual group photography show. Photographs from Family of Man, Bodies in Motion, Animals, Russia, and New York are included. Jerry Cooke was a photographer for LIFE Magazine, Sports Illustrated and many other publications for over five decades.

What a nice surprise to see this picture, full page, in a story on the iconic Time Magazine publishing empire. Jerry started in the Pix, Inc, darkroom in 1939. He apprenticed with Alfred Eisenstaedt and quickly progressed to photographing assignments for Life and other magazines. It’s nice to see this group of accomplished photographers working together with Wilson Hicks during the golden age of photo-journalism.
